Police Officer

The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department is currently accepting applications to fill a Police Officer Position. This is a full time position that works under the direction of the Chief of Police through a Patrol Sergeant.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS: AZ P.O.S.T. Certified Police Officer – preferred
Non Certified will be sent to an AZPOST approved police academy. All candidates must successfully complete a written exam, physical fitness test and pass a background check, polygraph exam, drug screen, and physical exam.

EDUCATION: Must 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. AZPOST Police Certification is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of supervision, performs daily activities of the patrol unit. Work is performed in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances, as well as departmental rules and regulations. Prepares required reports and keeps the patrol supervisor informed concerning all matters affecting the value of the assigned unit to include personnel matters, departmental policy and criminal activity.

SALARY: $39,000 – $44,000 – Based on experience and approval.  $34,000 – $36,000 – Academy Bound
